Impressionistic Lightscape Gallery

This painting,'First Light', uses an impressionistic style as Saint works with the capture of light. It is appropriate that we begin with this painting. It is related to the next painting in the gallery. The daylight begins here and ends with 'Lastlight', the next painting. Both use a similar palette, one with light advancing and the next with light receeding. The artist uses several newly developed techniques to paint the entire painting with small dots and strokes.

.

'Lastlight' completes the cycle of light in a day. In these paintings the atmosphere and light are the key elements. Do you feel the light?

.

This painting,'Low Country Light',uses a more realistic style but is none the less a Lightscape as once again the light is the star. The people and objects are subtext yet they do clearly identify this as a low country scene.
